In this 60-minute all-levels therapeutic yoga class, I will guide you through a series of gentle yet effective yoga poses specifically designed to strengthen the muscles that support your knees, and the best part is, you can do it all on the floor!
These supine and seated knee strengthening asanas can improve the strength and stability of the hip, knee, and ankle joints. We will also do some stretching for our glutes; tightness and weakness in these muscles can cause a decrease in knee joint stability as they are connected to the lower extremities via the sciatic nerve. Stretching and strengthening these muscles regularly will ensure there is no over-tightening or restriction of any kind to the knee joint and help reduce the risk of injuries and pain in both the knees and the back and keep the body balanced.
